About the Journal

The intention behind publishing DECYZJE is presented shortly in the subtitle: A journal devoted to decision making in the economy and society. This subtitle refers to two types of decisions that are the main, but not exclusive, subject discussed in the journal: economic decisions (made by entrepreneurs, investors, public sector decision makers, consumers, etc.) and social decisions (made by voters, collective bodies, representative assemblies passing or rejecting laws, etc.). In each case, even when the decision in question concerns a very specific problem, we want it to be analysed with appropriate methodology and theoretical background.

The Editorial Board, composed of representatives from various research centres, hopes that publishing DECYZJE will contribute to the integration of the research community working on various aspects of decision theory and the analysis of decision making processes. We appeal to all researchers interested in this field of study – in particular, in psychology of decision, in economic and social decision making, in behavioural and experimental economics and game theory - to send us their manuscripts (see Author Guidelines), as well as their suggestions and proposals (e-mail addresses to the editors and more information about the journal can be found in the Editorial Board section).

Decyzje  appears on the list of Polish and foreign scientific journals led by the Minister of Science and Higher Education for the parametric evaluation of the scientific units with the allocated number of points 20.

Rules for submitting and publication of manuscripts in "Decyzje".

            1. Journal "Decyzje" publishes articles on decision making, primarily in the economic and social domain. We do not accept reports and research results nor any type of purely descriptive studies. Manuscripts submitted to the Editors may not be concurrently considered for publication in other periodicals published in Polish and may not have been published anywhere else before they are published in "Decyzje". Manuscripts are accepted only in the electronic form. The preferred manuscript format is Microsoft Office Word. Tables should be placed within the text, and figures at the end of the manuscript.
            2. The manuscript should include keywords and an abstract of 100-200 words - both in Polish and in English, as well as the Author's affiliation and address (fax, e-mail).
            3. The titles and subtitles should be typed in lower case letters. A new paragraph should begin with an indentation. Tables and charts provided in separate documents should be clearly legible, so that they can be edited before the publication.
            4. If possible, any complex technical arguments (e.g. proofs of theorems) should be attached as a supplement to the manuscript.
            5. Submitted manuscripts will be assessed by two anonymous referees who will not be informed about the identity of the author(s).
