About the Journal

Established in 1962, „Prakseologia” [Praxiology] is a noted scholarly journal in its field in Poland. For the first four years it appeared under the name of “Materiały prakseologiczne” [Praxeological Materials]. It offers space for debate about the efficiency and the ethics of action and for presentation of scientific research - both in terms of philosophy and applied sciences. Among the latter, a special emphasis is placed on the theory of organization and management, which has been the subject of our reflection since the early stage of the Journal. This reflection has been subsequently enriched with ethical considerations; as a result, business ethics is now a significant part of the Journal's content.
“Prakseologia” publishes quality papers on advanced theoretical issues as well as those presenting empirical work stemming from traditional and cutting-edge research, which display novel substantive and methodological approaches. The journal also includes sections devoted to discussion, polemics and book reviews.

"Prakseologia"  appears on the list of Polish and foreign scientific journals led by the Minister of Science and Higher Education for the parametric evaluation of the scientific units with the allocated number of points 20.

Starting with March 2012, “Prakseologia” is published in cooperation of The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences, and The Leon Koźmiński Academy.
